The SINGLES

Your Kiss

A new Bossa Nova ballad with a summery sound and sultry vocals. The vibraphone and guitar on this song are the perfect engaging, suspenseful pairing with McDuffie’s lush tones.

Cry Me A River

Enjoy this slightly funky cover of the smoky jazz standard made famous by Julie London, with lush backup vocals & infectious percussion.

Evening Standard Time (tbd)

Also coming soon: a collection of vocal jazz in the traditional style, some released as singles. Standards and original ballads, featuring Tony Garnier on the Etta Jones number, ‘So Tired’.

THE RECORDS

Dreamers of Atlantis

A collection of original country-blues-folk songs with rousing instrumental arrangements, ‘Dreamers of Atlantis’ (8/2021) grabbed a spot at #46 (of 69) on the Folk Alliance International Chart, and Roots Music Report's Top 50 Americana Country Album Chart.

Pass It On

Full of great R&B grooves, tone-poem overtones and soulful vocals, ‘Pass It On’ enjoyed alternative radio play across the country and as far as Scotland. The song ‘That’s What She Said’ is the heart of the record, with suspenseful vocals, big beautiful horns, and solos on piano and guitar that rise and fall like the tempest.

Under A Spell ~ Reissues

An EP of Five songs from the 2015 CD Under A Spell remixed, remastered & reissued.

"I first listened to an advance of this fine record--a burned disc  without the credit notes--and found myself wondering if McDuffie had  discovered a trove of long lost Sippi Wallace and Bessie Smith LPs at a  particularly productive tag sale.  Where was she getting such sassy  songs?  Amazingly, turns out they're all her 'mighty tight'  compositions."
